About Us
Thank you for visiting our page and your interest in Copper Coast Press
and our products. We hope you find what you're looking for.
Copper Coast Press was inspired by our founder's father's printing business. He learned to use an industrial printing press as part of his duties during his service on a United States aircraft carrier. After two tours in the Navy during the Vietnam War, he lived in the Pacific Northwest and worked at different printing companies before ultimately opening his own business. In the Barbery Coast neighborhood of San Francisco, his small print shop bore the name of its location, Barbery Coast Press.
With his small team, he produced VIP concert tickets, stand-up comedy posters, business cards, and more. While he closed up shop after he and his wife moved away from California, he continued working in the printing business for many years. In the early 2000's when the family moved back to his home state, Montana, he and his wife opened a graphic art business that, among other things, sold hand-drawn watercolor greeting cards. This business was based in southwest Montana near Butte, one of the copper boom towns of the 19th and 20th centuries.
Inspired by her parents' work, our founder started doing digital art greeting cards and recently brought that passion into an online business. As an hommage to the (sometimes PG-17) humor often found in her parents' cards, many of her card designs contain adult humor. But there are still plenty of designs appropriate for all ages and family members. Copper Coast Press is based out of Virginia where the founder lives with her partner and their pitbull.
